The Food Bank provides wholesome foods for the homeless, hungry, elderly, and all those under 150% of the income poverty guidelines who reside within the service area of the AVAC. More than 480 families are currently registered with our Food Bank. Qualifying individuals and families are eligible to receive food on a monthly basis. The foods available are canned goods, boxed foods, produce, meats, and dairy products. Most of the food is purchased from the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
