Connecting RESOURCES with NEEDSOur mission is to connect resources with needs by loving, serving and investing in community relationships to meet the holistic needs of our neighbors. The vision is to be a valued partner with organizations that are transforming the city of Birmingham, Alabama. There are three ways we connect resources with needs: food service, community service, and organizational service.COMPASSION SERVICEWe serve as a storehouse to collect and distribute food through partnering organizations that are seeking to alleviate hunger in our city.COMMUNITY SERVICEWe serve by mobilizing volunteer teams to meet the needs of the neighborhood and engage in community development projects and partnerships.COLLABORATIVE SERVICEWe serve our partners by helping to focus their community impact through project management and networking relationships.
Volunteer:
Individuals can volunteer weekly, for a special event, or for projects that require their specialized trade or craft. Groups are encouraged to schedule in advance so that we can fit them into the work our partners are doing.
We often have large groups from churches, businesses, and universities who connect to our partners looking for a way to serve together. We love working with volunteers and could not do all that God has placed before us without you!
Christian Service Mission hosts thousands of volunteers every year. We use our volunteers throughout the city of Birmingham to work alongside those in communities of need. We believe this is how we begin to create true unity, and we are excited for the opportunity to have you become a part of what God is doing in our city.
