One time I talked my mom into coming here. Having worked hard her entire life, a single mom now in her late 60s, suffering from COPD and arthritis, she doesn't qualify for SNAP for having a few $ in the bank. I had stopped and bought her a few things at the nearby DG - coffee, toilet paper, snacks. As the gentleman loaded her groceries on top of her wheelchair, one exclaimed OH WOW! THEY ALREADY HAVE GROCERIES. My mom felt bad. She never went back. She's literally going without eating over there and feels bad for asking for food. It's not hard for some to hold out their hands, but it is very hard for others.
CJohn provides food and clothing to those who qualify. All you will need to bring is your ID each time you come. You can go once a month. There is a limit to the amount of clothing you can get each time and there is not a great deal to choose from. Each year you can also sign up for a Christmas basket also which is always a blessing.
my husband and i went there and my husband filled out papers 2 month ago ,so when i gave the lady our ids she said we had to fill out papers that we had already filled out 2 months ago ,apparently they lost the papers my husband filled out 2 months ago ,we don't go there unless we need food ,so they lost our paper work that my husband filled out ,what is wrong with this place who loses paper work that we filled out?
