I need food, but I live in my car and don't have an address, so if your requirement is for two pieces of mail to prove your residency, I can't have two pieces of mail.
Its pretty sad to drive by the Spring St Food Bank and see very new Honda Accords, Nissan Maxima Chevy Suburbans and Pearly White Cadillac Escalades. If the income guideline is $27,000 and under IDC how many kids you chose to have SHAME ON YOU SERIOUSLY. There truly are people in need so you enjoy putting your bags of food in those sweet rides! I will not be donating anymore. Pictures are priceless
The people running this are not too friendly. The lady at the desk can be nice one second and then snaps at you for no reason. Waiting in line can be chaotic as there are women there who come with 3,4,5 or more kids or they bring their friends who don't use the service and clog up the lines, as it is, there is only room for a few people inside the rest of the time you wait outside. And if the desk lady wasn't bad enough, there's this old eastern European lady who barks orders at you rapid fire, you can't understand what she says half the time and the other time she makes no sense, she orders you to go over there, go over here, and there is zero room to move in there because everyone is cramming themselves in the lobby and the other workers are filling baskets and she is still snapping at you. Overall, they can be a lot friendlier. The fare there ranges from useless, a roll of super thin and small toilet tissue, vegetables with sprouts and mold growing on them, and cans of stuff that you wonder what fallout shelter circa 1950 it came from to great things like turkeys, boxes of hotdogs, good ones, too, like Kayem, packages of ground beef (like 3 or 4 lbs) and even some steaks! Beggars can't be choosers, but they don't need to make you feel like one though.
