      I have never needed help and I do not know the process of receiving some help until the end of the year...I am at my lowest financially and am having trouble buying food after bills are paid

    FOOD DISTRIBUTION:
    Asthe largest distributor of public and private emergency food for aseven parish area, we provided over 3.8 million pounds of food to morethan 65,000 low income and below poverty level households innorthwestLouisiana.

    Hours:
    Monday - Friday
    8:00am - 3:30pm

    EMERGENCY FOOD BOXES:
    Eachweek approximately 1,250 pounds of food is distributed for emergencyassistance to individuals. The annual estimate of the food distributedis 62,500 pounds with a value of $105,625. The food is distributedthrough a partnership agreement with Centerpoint

    211DISASTER RELIEF: Asa disaster responder we provide immediate assistance to our memberagencies, pop-up and faith based shelters and other individuals. Duringthe 2008 hurricane season we distributed over 800,000 pounds of food,water and supplies to disaster victims

    BACKPACK PROGRAM:Chronically hungry children are provided with a backpack of food totake home for the weekend and holidays.Each 7 - 10 pound weekly bagincludes items such as granola bars, fruit juice and pop top cannedfood

    KIDS CAFE:A national program of Feeding America that provides hot mealsandnutritional education to low-income children in alreadyexistingafter-school programs.

    SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM:
    Provides nutritional breakfasts and lunches for hungry children whohave no access to free food when school is not in session during thesummer months

    SENIORPROGRAM:Designed to help the elderly s-t-r-e-t-c-h their food dollars,lowincome seniors who are 65 and older or 55 and older withadisabilityreceivea montly box of non-perishable groceries

    MOBILE PANTRY:
    Provide food to rural pantry clients on a monthly basis

    KIDS IN DISTRESSED SITUATIONS (K.I.D.S.): A national program, that distributes new clothing and toys to children in need
