They are rude and this is a fact because I went to do a community research and I was shocked with what I witnessed.
How can I volunteer?
Most of these comments are not based on fact. I have been going here for years. They collect 5 dollars for a cart if you want. The money goes to gas for the trucks, utilities etc..I have observed that the people who are ungrateful the most, are usually the ones that need it the least. We are grateful for everything. There are multiple other food pantry, go there if you're not happy, just sayin
I dont understand the method at the pantry the people helping volunteering get all the best stuff ,nothing is giving out to even make a meal in the bag they give to people coming in for help .the food donated to them is only supplying there cabinets .or they sale the stuff donated.how is this happening who donates to them needs to stop your only helping the mexicans volunteering there. I was very unpleased with it all.I would really like to know who donates to the helping hands in san bernardino?
In response to the above poster: Did you ever stop to think that those volunteering are also either homeless or in need? Those who have the least tend to help others the most.
Most of the time they give candies. It is very rare to receive good food. You can buy personal products and fresh fruit or vegetable s at good price. The sad thing is when u see the volunteers taking lots of the good bread or the fruit to their cars and when you ask for one more they tell you NO. I go once a week and it is always the same.
