When you first visit, please let a staff member know that you are a new client.
Hours for New Clients:
Monday and Wednesday
10:00am - 11:00am
Tuesday and Thursday
6:00pm - 7:00pm
Requirements:
1. Proof of income for all adults in household, which can include any of the following:
Pay Stub
Copy of paycheck
Social Security Income Letter
Bank statement showing income deposit
Bridge card letter
Income letter from Unemployment
Recent tax return paperwork

2. Photo ID for yourself and every adult in the household
Drivers License, or
State ID, or
Passport
3. Social Security Cards for every household member, including children.
4. Dates of birth for everyone in the household.
We offer referrals to other agencies (Jewish and secular). We can also help you fill out food stamp applications. Call (248) 548-3663 for more information.
Yad Ezra is Michigans only Kosher Food Pantry.
Yad Ezra clients meet certain financial criteria in order to qualify as recipients.
Yad Ezra provides a supplemental food package filled with nutritious and well-balanced foods that are distributed to low income Jewish individuals and families approximately once every four weeks. For every Jewish holiday, delicious, traditional foods are distributed to clients in addition to their regular food packages.
All food packages are based on family size.
Referrals come from Jewish Family Service, area clergy, social service agencies in the greater community and other organizations.
Anyone who comes to Yad Ezra claiming they need food will receive a package of groceries from us at least one time (regardless of religious affiliation).
Jewish families who fit within the financial guidelines weve established are eligible to receive a food package from Yad Ezra approximately once every 4 weeks.
To be eligible, a clients income can fall within 200% of National Poverty Guidelines. Please note: Yad Ezras staff members use discretion with regard to client eligibility and will consider extenuating circumstances for those whose income exceeds 200% of the guidelines.
Client families choose the items that they want and need. Yad Ezra is a Total Choice Food Pantry.

Yad Ezra provides supplemental kosher food, necessities and enhancements of holidays and lifecycle events to those in need in the Jewish community. We are committed to operating a high quality food pantry through hard work and support of staff, volunteers and donors.
